In the last few years, Ingener has had a very important role in the largest electric power generation and transmission projects in Uruguay. The company has worked on projects for a total of over 400 MW of renewable power generation (wind farms and photovoltaic power stations) and a dozen high voltage substations to connect industrial projects and generation plants or to reinforce the transmission network, thus becoming a model in Uruguay for the execution of EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contracts in the energy sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2015, in order to broaden our market reach and continue applying the our accumulated know-how, we decided to expand our activities into the wider region.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

By the end of 2015, we signed our first major contract abroad. It was in Bolivia, with the state-owned company ENDE, and it was a turnkey EPC contract for two 230 kV GIS substations totaling 150 MW of power for two hydroelectric plants in the Cochabamba region (currently under construction). <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

By mid-2016, encouraged by the energy development plan in Argentina fostered by Macri\u2019s government, we signed a contract with APR Energy to execute the electrical and mechanical assembly of a 250 MW <\/span>gas generation plant <\/span>in the province of Buenos Aires, essential for mitigating the power deficit during the summer months.<\/span><\/p>\n

With our current operations in Argentina, Bolivia and Uruguay, we have great expectations about the future of an international INGENER that competes side by side with the leading engineering and construction companies for the energy projects of the region. Undoubtedly, this is the right path for the continuous improvement of our expertise and for working on increasingly complex and challenging projects. Above all, this is the right path to generate more development opportunities for our main asset: Ingener\u2019s team.<\/span><\/p>\n
