PUNTA DEL TIGRE THERMAL POWER PLANT A – 300 MW

In 2005 UTE awarded to General Electric Company the public tender P33644 for the turnkey construction of a thermal power plant in the Department of San Jose.
This new plant added 300 MW to the national generating infrastructure and included the following facilities: diesel/gas turbines, an oil pipeline and diesel storage tanks, a gas pipeline, a HV substation and line, and a water supply line. General Electric contracted Santos CMI company, which in turn subcontracted to Ingener the engineering and works of the first stage, consisting of the design, procurement, civil and electrical works intended for the connection of four General Electric gas-turbines (4×50 MVA) to the 150kV network.
In a second stage in which the plant was upgraded, Ingener received a turnkey contract for the design, procurement and installations to connect two additional General Electric gas-turbines (2×50 MVA) to the 150kV network, including all HV and MV electric works.
