Client: APR Energy Argentina – End Client: Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico S.A. (Argentina).

Project:

Given the power state of emergency declared in Argentina, the Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico S.A. [the administrator of the wholesale electricity market] has called for bids for 1 GW thermal generation supply. In this tender, APR Energy won a bulk demand contract for the installation, commissioning under a very tight deadline (3 months) and 5-year operation of a 215 MW power plant, which would be connected the existing 132 kV Matheu substation in Pilar, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Our work:

Being its first project in Argentina, Ingener is the contractor for the electro-mechanical assembly of the plant. It consists of ten 25 MW dual-fuel (diesel and gas) aeroderivative turbines and all the necessary services for their operation: cooling water, fuel supply, power and control installation, as well as the 132 kV interconnection to the existing Edenor substation. The completion date is a key factor in this project; the plant is expected to set to go on stream before the summer of 2016/17 to cover the increased demand for electricity resulting from the use of air conditioning equipment in high temperatures.

Beginning: Sept./2016.

Deadline: 3 months
