Between 2010 and 2012, UTE has been in a difficult situation regarding power generation due to the lack of water in the dams.
As a result, UTE contracted ALSTOM POWER RENTAL (APR) for its temporary solution of power generation based on four 25 MW aeroderivative mobile gas turbines totaling 100 MW.
The turbines were placed in the plant UTE has at Punta del Tigre, located in the town called Colonia Wilson.
These generation turbines are fueled by diesel or natural gas.
APR trusted Ingener with the completion of the 150kV interconnection to UTE’s network, comprehending civil works, HV and MV work, the electro-mechanical assembly, including fuel supply and auxiliary piping for the turbines, commissioning and different tasks provided by INGENER’s service staff.
It was a major challenge for the required time and the combination of specialties.
