150KV SUBSTATION – MONTEVIDEO M AND SGU UPGRADE

Ingener was in charge of the civil and electrical engineering design, the electro-mechanical assembly, procurement and related services.
The scope of work comprised the upgrade of the existing Salto Grande Uruguay substation (SGU), mainly including: expansion of main and auxiliary 150 kV busbars, two 150 kV line bays, one 150 kV busbar bay, one 150 kV busbar voltage measurement bay, supply and erection of towers for modification of 150 kV service connection, control building, AS, erection of medium voltage switchgears.
In addition, it comprised the construction of the new Montevideo M substation (MVM), mainly including: main and auxiliary 150 kV busbars, six 150 kV line bays, two 150/31.5 kV power transformer bays, one 150 kV busbar bays, one section for 150 kV busbar voltage measurement bay, supply and erection of towers for modification of 150 kV service connection, control building, AS, erection of medium voltage switchgears. Design, installation and commissioning of the MVM lines protection system in Montevideo I (MVI) and Montevideo A (MVA) substations.
