CENTRAL BATLLE ENGINES– 80 MW

In 2009 UTE awarded Teyma -Saceem Consortium the turnkey project of a power generation plant.

Based on eight reciprocating piston-type internal combustion engines (supplied by the Finnish company Wartsila), which operated on heavy fuel oil; the engines generated 10 MW each, totaling 80 MW of installed capacity for the plant located in the José Batlle Y Ordoñez thermal power plant.
The consortium subcontracted to Ingener the construction of the substation for the connection to the high voltage network of the national grid.
Ingener run the medium and low voltage electrical installation for the generators and support services.
As a final complement, it solved the integration of the plant Scada with the Scada at the UTE national dispatch center.
It was a major technical challenge, highly demanding on meeting deadlines according to established schedules.
