Cardal Substation – 500 kV

Construction of a new 500 kV transmission substation in a breaker-and-a-half configuration (seven circuit breakers), including the supply and installation of 15 single-phase 500 kV reactors.

The scope of work included detailed engineering, procurement, construction of Cardal Substation, the loop-in of the PA5 (Palmar)–MA5 (Montevideo) line and its connection to the new substation, as well as protection and communications work at the remote-end substations.
