Plastipak is a renowned leader in the packaging industry, with high-tech facilities in the US, South America (Brazil and Argentina) and Europe. The company designs and manufactures packaging for beverages and food, cleaning products, industrial, automotive, personal care and specialty products, including wine, beer and spirits.
In early 2015, Ingener was hired under an EPC contract for the design, execution and commissioning of its new production plant in the department of San José.
The works included:
-Complete execution of the civil and electromechanical works required for the plant.
-Connection works to UTE’s 30 kV line.
-HVAC system.
-Fire protection system.
-Industrial utilities (compressed air, cooling water, vacuum system), among others.
Highlights of the works include the installation of more than 400 tonnes of mechanical equipment and structures, more than 30 tonnes of carbon steel and stainless steel piping, and more than 15,000 weld inches.
