Air Liquide is an international group of French origin and a world leader in industrial and medical gases, present in 75 countries through 130 affiliates and subsidiaries. It has operated in Uruguay since 1991.
In 2014, the company approved the investment to install a liquid oxygen and nitrogen production plant (ASU), a US-made COSMODYNE ASPEN 1000 model, at its Santa Lucía facility in Ciudad del Plata, in the department of San José.
For this project, Air Liquide hired Ingener for the turnkey design and installation of the liquid oxygen and nitrogen production plant. From the outset, our technical team worked alongside the client’s project managers at every stage of this important project; the first milestone was the design of the civil, electrical, fire protection and mechanical installations.
During 2016, the civil works and electromechanical installation of the plant and the auxiliary equipment required for its proper operation were executed on a turnkey basis, along with the construction of the fire detection and suppression system, the Metering Station and the joint works with UTE.
