Campana, Argentina — 2023/2025
Installation and erection of the mechanical equipment (desalters, crude pumps, tanks and others), piping systems, steel structures, and industrial electrification and instrumentation required to expand the capacity of the crude desalting unit at the Campana refinery.
The works included the installation of two new desalters, the refinery’s four main crude pumps, tanks and heat exchangers; complete construction of foundations for the new equipment; piping installation (+25,000 weld inches); installation of steel structures and pipe racks (+150 tonnes); associated electrical and instrumentation installation; hydrostatic testing and cleaning of new and modified piping; and hydrostatic testing of the modified vessels, pumps and other equipment.
All works were carried out in compliance with strict construction codes and the highest industry standards, as they involved operating facilities in classified (hazardous) areas, piping under ASME and/or API codes, among others.
